Removals - temporary storage ?
Hi,
Wife and I are based in Lisbon, Portugal - and will be moving back to the UK (Cambridgeshire) in mid-March 2017. We have some furniture, TV, and personal belongings to take back (no fridge or washing machine luckily!). As we won't have a permanent address back in the UK until May, is it possible for a removals company to hold the items in storage, until we supply the delivery address ? We would be looking at 2 months storage at the most.
Thanks in advance

hi!
Yes, most removal companies will offer storage facilities to hold your belongings for you until you're ready to take delivery.
Typically storage is charged either by the week or by the month (or part of) depending on which company you use and is usually based on the number of storage containers you need for the volume of goods you're storing.
Bear in mind if you don't have a final delivery address yet they may only be able to quote for the delivery out of store element of your move based on a rough location and with some assumptions. For example: "for delivery to Cambridge area with good access and parking". If your final property doesn't meet this scope, for example if you move to a 5th floor flat in Birmingham with no lift and parking 200 yards from the front door, then your delivery charges would likely need to be adjusted.
Hope that helps!
