Locking cupboard doors when shipping
I am planning to ship several sideboards. The doors always swing open if not locked, so I usually keep them locked - with the key in a small drawer above.
Before shipping should I lock the doors - or will that cause problems if they inspect it at customs?

It likely won't make much difference as they will be wrapped in heavy multi-layer packing paper, but if you're concerned about the (remote) possibility of customs wanting to search inside and perhaps breaking the locks, you could either tape the doors shut or tie them closed with string wrappee around the cupboard.

Or shake loose, drop out and get lost, or lost if subject to inspection, or if it doesn't break then it damages the keyhole or the lock mechanism.
