We Are Back on BE!!!!!
Hiya all we are finally back online!! Got tinternet connected yesterday!! 
We have been in NZ for eight weeks on Sunday and what a time we have had!! We have moved from a holiday rental into our own place, bought a people carrier, started our new jobs, our daughters start school on Monday 12th, bought various household items that are not coming on our container, met some lovely people.
Our container is still on its way and we cant wait for it to arrive, hopefully it will be in the next month.
We had a get together with some of the expats in Rotorua at the weekend and it was lovely to meet people we had been in contact with on here!
For those of you who know Jack, our son who stayed in the UK, we speak to each other regularly and he is doing ok. We all miss each other terribly but he is coming to visit in January and hopefully he will decide to make the move over and join us.
If we can offer any help to anyone going through the immigration process do not hesitate to contact us.

. Sounds like all is going very well and you are settling into Kiwi life very well.
Thanks for the update, its good to hear how people are getting on and really finding it now its a reality.
So pleased Jack
is doing much better he gets the Kiwi bug when he visits and makes the move!
Keep the updates coming they are so useful to us still on the other side.
Just curious who did you use to move over your worldly goods?

We shipped our worldly goods with John Mason, cannot recommend the highly enough. All the people we dealt with from office staff to move managers were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble.
Our packers, Tony and George, worked amazingly hard and quickly.
Cant say much about their NZ counterparts as we have only had a bit of contact with them at the moment. Will let you know when our stuff arrives and what state it arrives in!!

Although watching the exchange rate closely am not overly sad we are not on yet
In the ideal world we hope to get a sale spring time (for us) and then move over soon after. We could possibly rent for a year or so and not bring money over, but the interest rate is so rubbish here its hard to know what to do

Welcome back Rob and Donna! Nice to hear things are going well for you in your new life and that Jack is feeling better. when he gets there he falls in love with New Zealand and decides to stay there with you. Please keep us posted on the New New Zealand experience!

Hey you guys!!! so good to hear you are settling into NZ life and thanks for your offer to help those of us yet to make the move....... may well take you up on it in january!..... by then you'll be 'old timers'! and hopefully Jack will be 'in the fold' again..... hope everything keeps going well for you....ahhhh you must be so proud of your son..... he'll be bitten by the kiwi bug!

Just thought I would update again! All our worldly goods have finally arrived.
They arrived in Auckland on 30th Oct and were delivered to us on Thursday 5th November!
MAF came to our house and looked at what they had asked to see and that was that.
We have been unpacking ever since! Its a wonder we havnt disappeared under a sea of boxes and paper.
Its so nice to have all our familiar things around us again. Oh well back to the boxes again!!
