British Expats - 4 years Anniversary

Hi All,

another year to add to.

Well, been quite a few ups and severe downs on the roller coaster ride since the 3rd anni update.

House built, finally, Builder the main problem.

been in since March. Still pottering around doing landscaping. FIL & MIL over for 4 months so they are helping out with the chores/ jobs while we are in work to pay the mortgage.

Our new Holiday Rental is now ready for its 1st paying guests. We manage to design a 1 bedroom & EnSuite shower room and a kitchenette/lounge under same room as main house.

Still in same job. wanting to change and get out of the current industry, but thats easier said than done up here in Whangarei.

But have to look at it that it pays the mortgage and the hardest thing to do is Switch Off from all the Sh*t and hassle. Finished week of with another telling off., really puts me in a good frame of mind for the weekend, NOT.

Summing up, same sh*t different Country, but wouldnt have what we got here now, back in the UK. Still no regrets.

Off venturing back to Hobbinton, Rotarua the New Plymouth soon for a well earned break. Worked through Christmas and New Year, had Stat days off, but was working rest of time covering from Warkworth to Kaitaia.

Right, ive got a bottle of Cider with my name on it that needs emptying.
