Also depends on the visa you want. If it's a permanent visa, you need to do academic IELTS, ANMAC, then submit you EOI to immigration & apply to AHPRA at some point.
If it's a temporary visa you can apply to AHPRA 1st.
Good luck.

If you are hoping to get a sponsored VISA, then you'll need AHPRA first so that you can get a job and then a VISA.
If however you just want a temporary visa, then you can do it before/at the same time as, applying to AHPRA
Depending on where you are applying from you may not need a skills assessment, I didn't, I just need to submit all my degree documents to AHPRA.

Hope this helps

Can I add that, once you have submitted to AHPRA, you can start looking for jobs at that stage. However, you can't put yourself forward to employers until you have your registration Letter of Eligibility. Try not to be too specific in the area you wish to be as the most popular jobs and locations are snapped up by Aussie nurses. I can assist by (1) advising which AHPRA office is processing registrations fastest, (2) getting your CV formatted for Australian employers, (3) Identifying job roles that suit your skills and experience, (4) Setting Up and Preparing you for Interview (5) obtaining your references and (6) negotiating your start date with the employer. Hope this helps.

As a rule of thumb, if you are moving to a new country, you should expect to pay the costs.

If you can negotiate otherwise, good luck to you.

A 457 visa has two parts of responsibility - Employer and Applicant.

This is not a "Free Ride" as seen in the early days of sponsorship where the applicant paid £10 and the employer paid everything else.
