Smile visa

Yesterday we were told by our Case Officer's supervisor that our 2nd set of medicals have also been lost in Australia, I wrote an exacting email back asking what they were going to do about it.

Today, they replied .... They have actually now found the meds, processed them and GRANTED OUR VISA!

Visa App was sent 15th July ....
Seems soooo long ago!

We sent our 2nd set of meds to Sydney 1st Sept.

We emailed CO on Monday asking about eldest son (15 in Dec and would he need to have HIV test if visa not sorted) ... The CO then forwarded our email to his boss, who replied saying that our meds hadn't been processed as there was no record of them in Sydney. She would though, send our FIRST set (which were found the DAY we told our CO about the 2nd set arriving in Sydney - confusing I know!) on to Sydney for processing.

You can imagine what day we had yesterday! Oh ... and the bolier sprang a leak in the evening and the landlord is in Dubai! NICE!)
Anway ... got seriously drunk last night and drifted off to sleep.
Awoken at 3 AM by the drunken rabble screaming and shouting in the street ... this is a regualr thing .... Wednesday - Saturday the pissheadds coming out of the clubs stagger up our street back to their hovels... not giving a shite for the people who live nearby ... anyhows ....

I was awoken by the phone at 07:30 (landlord in Dubai phoning ... he'll get a plumber asap (stilll waiting at noon for that call)) ... checked email ...

COs boss replying ...

Basically she "check[ed] further and the good news is that yes your medicals have gone to Sydney, all are cleared and your application for migration has been approved...."
The letter will be sent out tomorrow, so ......

how long does the visa stamping process take anyone??
I plan to dhl the passports to Australia House, and have the couriered back ...
Then it's of to the south of France for a holiday with friends, then on to Oz from there!

and the sun's shining too!
I sent an

Hiya Jez

The letter says to allow 5 working days after receipt of letter before sending your passports to Australia house then they took about 5 days till we got our passports back.

Excellent !! Suppose you want to book your personal chauffeur now!

When are you coming? Have you booked your flight yet?
If not, I've heard that Singapore Airlines are doing a good flight from Manchester leaving at 10.10 on the 10th of January
