Default Salary for midwife

Hi

I've had a job offer as a midwife at a maty unit in a private hospital.

I have no idea about wages for nurses/midwives in Oz, and have done various searches but just can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Does anyone know of a website that could give me an idea of what I should expect.

I have dual qualifications, with over 20 years experience (although many of those part time) I was offered Level 1.8 and she said that would be about $32 per hour - does that sound right? Also night shifts at only 15% enhancements, that didn't sound very much to me?

Any help would be most appreciated.

Sam

Hi

I'm in Tas, so think that salaries may be a bit lower here but was just trying to get an idea to know whether this was about right.
