Default Public Health Nursing in Canada

This is a bit of a specialised question which may not have an easy answer! I'm a Health Visitor in the UK and have a Post Graduate Diploma in specialist community public health nursing to enable me to do this role. My original degree however is not in nursing it's a BSc (Hons) in Midwifery. All of the information on CNA and RNAO just refers to nursing programs. Anybody else in a similar situation know if the PGDip (which is most of the MSc just missing the dissertation) is an acceptable nursing qualification? The roles I'm looking at in Canada, particularly in Toronto are a program very similar to Health Visiting in the UK.
Thanks in anticipation
H
