Re: Which Nurses are leaving North East England???
I have 10yr old who would probably like to know other people are going as well and does do restaurants, but not sure how the none children couples would react as they have to put up with our kids without the hassle of having their own to make them immune.. .
March sounds good and we should all be further along the track... :scared: .
Any further comments anyone...Paul, Lynn etc.

The London meet is in March so there may be people going to that who would go to one up here. Maybe April would be better.
Is your 10 year old a boy or girl? I have a 9 year old son who I would be taking if nobody objected. I also have 2 girls aged 14 and 15. Looking at plans for other meets I don't think people mind kids coming. Then the kids get to meet new friends as well.

I would like to come but it is quite far away for me - not sure I will be able to afford it with visa money coming out of my account though in feb probably.
If I though there were enough people going I would be up for it and maybe book a hotel in Newcastle to stay in over night - is the meet going to be in Newcastle or have I completely got it wrong!!?
Are you going to post ideas on the main forum?
Just let me know the exact date you are thinking of and I will check to make sure i'm not working that weekend etc.
Thanks for thinking about me too

March or April i'm easy....practicing my being chilled for Oz... .
My son is 10yrs old Tracey so they may get on well.
Lynn once us nurses decide on a date to suit us we could put on main forum as may as well please ourselves first especially seen as you have a short journey.

god, this post cheered me up no end!
I trained at Shotley Bridge and also Dryburn, brilliant times!
Worked in plastics theatre for the infamous Mr. Berry, so Ad4oz may have met you before!
Have fond memories of Winterton, especially the old black and white video taken of the residents on mayday in the 50's! sad day when they closed it, far more than a hospital, it was a little community... Mind did my mental health stint at the County, frightening!
sorry for going on, blast from the past and all that, I'm all sentimental now!!!
nice talkin'...

Nice to meet you Bob... .
Would only have met you at Shotley if you were there the day I had my moles chopped off.
Try to steer clear of Winterton and Cherry Knowle myself... ...never know who you may meet.

i don't know if i am allowed to join, i am irish but live in london with my SUNDERLAND boyfriend!! maybe i can join this thread because of him!!
we are planning to move to move to brisbane next jan.
i don't want to go back to the wards, i am now a fertility nurse specialist but would love to go back working in sexual health (less stressful)
does anyone know how easy it is to get into clinics?
thanks kate.

Well seen as Sunderland are going up (football of course) I'm sure you can join.
Notice they seem to mention sexual health courses a lot in Oz so sure you'll get a community clinic job no problem.
We are heading Brisbane way as soon as we off load the house.

Hi,
I am a nurse in Sunderland, and live there too.
We are hopefully heading to Perth eventually when we actually apply for the visa! :scared:

Well why don't you come once we figure out when we are having the meet. Keep watching this thread.
You need to get your skates on and apply for your visa before Oz gets full up.... .
