Experiance necessary
My wife has qualified as a registered nurse and social worker (joint course) 2 years ago but she has almost no experiance in the nursing as she pursued the social work line, is there any way to get a visa for australia without the 12 months experiance.
I've been searching the government sites but its a bit off a maze!
Thanks Nick

I doubt that your wife would make it through the assessment stage with no experience. Is social worker on the MODL list?

Check this site from Dimia. Social workers get 60 points.

I had to get back into the general nursing sector for 12 months to fulfil the basic requirement, for max points as over 35 needed the points for specific work experience as well which has to be in the area of your skill,so looks like nursing qualification at some stage does not allow entry its all the experience of the job as well.
I think the social work is your way in or back into nursing for 12 months which might be quicker.
