British Clinical Psychologist working in New York state
Hi everyone,
I am due (fingers crossed) to qualify as a clinical psychologist in September this year. My partner recently told me that there will be opportunities for him to work in the New York office of his company. Meaning that I might be looking to work as a CP in New York for a year or two.
I have done some google searching and come up with some bits of information, however I wondered if there is anyone who has actually completed this process? or doing it now?
As chatting to a real person would be great.
Thanks in advance!

Ps. One of the most useful things I came across was the APA handbook of requirements for psychologists by jurisdiction in case this of use to anyone

Hi, and welcome to BE.
It would be worth your while reposting this in the US forums I think, in case there's a clinical psychologist there that won't spot this thread.
You mention 'partner', but just in case you're not aware you will need to be married if you want to go on your partner's visa application and accompany him as his dependent. Depending on the visa he gets, you may be able to work (not all spouse visas allow work).
HTH, good luck.
