UK ANP looking to move to Florida in 3 years
Hi. My partner has put in for a transfer with his company to Florida in 2-3 years. I was looking for information about how easy it would be for me to continue working over there too. By then I’m hoping to be a qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner. I would have a visa sorted by his company, after a little bit of research I think it would be an L2 visa. I’ve read getting my qualifications validated takes some time and I know I would have to sit the NCLEX exam. Am I best to start looking into these things sooner rather than later? And would my qualifications of a B(Hons) degree in adult nursing and master level training of advanced practice be sufficient? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

For you to qualify for L2 you need to be married. Nursing wise start the process now as it can be long winded. For Florida you need CGFNS or other accepted agency to do a breakdown of your nursing transcripts. They need to show clinical and theory hours in Paeds, Mental Health, Obstetrics and Adult. Missing any of these could have a impact on sitting NCLEX. Once through RN requirements you will more than likely have to then get recognized as ANP
