Visa Question?
Morning All!
Me & the hubby are planning to move to NZ by end of next year.
This may seem a silly question but if I applied for a visa now is there a time limit as to when you have to move out there by?
Thanks for reading!

Once you are granted the 'Application in Principle', you have 6 months to send the passport for the visa. Once you have the Visa, it has to be used within 12 months.
Can be a fair bit of waiting in the whole process.

Re: Visa Question?
once you've been sent an Invitation to Apply (ITA) then you've got 4 months to put in all of your supporting evidence and then as bodgit says once you've got approval in principle you've got 6 months to get the blue stickers in your passports and then 12 months to enter the country, which activates your visa - however once you've activated your visa you then get a returning residents visa (RRV) which is valid for 2 years - so you could leave NZ and return again within the 2 years (and you can do that as many times as you like within the 2 year period ) - so you could activate your visa by coming over job hunting or whatever and still effectively delay the immigration for up to 2 years.
