Re: Which is it?
It's not Christmas until the kids break up from school. No idea when that is any more but it's certainly not in November.

Re: Which is it?
I love Christmas , I love sparkly things, I love planning what delicious items I can bake, I love looking around the shops and in Christmas catalogue, I just love it.
However I will tut-tut the Christmas tunes playing and the Christmas products being sold in October /November whilst adding mince pies to my shopping trolley .
Our Christmas tree doesn't go up until the last Sunday before Christmas Day or the Sunday before that if Christmas is on a Monday or Tuesday.
Whilst I'm quite happy with the festive period being in the 'Summer' here, I do miss the northern hemisphere build-up to it. Not least because shopping is sh1t in NZ and other than himself, I don't have many people to buy pressies for.

Re: Which is it?
I'm kind of getting used to the idea that after months of dark, cold wet weather and boring selection of winter fruit and veges comes summer; a time to come alive again and feast on tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, courgettes, strawberries, ice-cream, pavlova, ice cold rose wine, mince pies and cherries. Can't come soon enough!!

Well that's millions in marketing budgets wasted trying to convince people mid-November is actually Christmas.

Bah humbug, I just moved into a rental to stay in until I get to NZ at the end of next year, my head is spinning and it's hot here, I'm Australian and still feel it's too hot to think about Christmas, my daughter wants to put up a tree and I haven't even got my furniture..
It's November I say!!

As I'm the 7.69% and it's now December the rest of you miserable bar stewards can come and join me with the mince pies and a small glass of Bristol Cream .
Don't forget to dust off your copy of Michael Bublè's Christmas cd

Re: Which is it?
What's December without an endless string of people to see and places to go, shopping for Secret Santa gifts and deciding what not to wear to all office Christmas parties.
Only two weeks to go and there's a serious lack of Christmas spirit around, sort if out NZ!!!

Thanks Mikelincs, only just got to see this as my tablet and phone keep giving me an unsupported links message.
Bo-Jangles - I don't feel one bit Christmassy at all this year. No idea what to get Mr Big Sticks, I'm not particularly bothered with getting anything, just feels very "meh!"

Just got back from the UK...very Christmassy everywhere. I just can’t seem to get in the Christmas mood here. Come to think of it...Christmas has never felt the same since we left the UK in 1996.
