Re: UK to NZ - August 2012
Greetings to you all from sunny Brisbane!
We had a very good flight and a lovely stop over in Singapore, hard to beat 31 degrees and high humidity. All the mobile phones have reception in the SMRT (their underground) due to a very clever "leaky feeded".
We are spending time with my husband's family and looking forward to the huge Ekka show because we like all the livestock etc.
The biggest subject for discussion is the Olympic medal count NZ vs Australia. We come from a varied background and had to be one eight German and 6th generation Danish one night.
Once we arrive in Christchurch one of the things we will be looking forward to is the alpaca show in September. It is one of our aspirations to one day breed alpacas but I think temporary accommodation will be more pressing first.
Good luck to everyone ,we are enjoying the rest , having worked hard to prepare for our 40 foot high cube .
Cheerios for now
Malin,Tim and Meg

Re: UK to NZ - August 2012
Hi
Bit late in posting as we arrived on 1st August! Myself, partner and our two boys (7 & 8). Partner has a job in Auckland so he is up there in a hotel but I am staying with the boys at my parents in Christhchurch.
Going up to Auckland the weekend to start the search for home and school.
Thinking it will need to be south Auckland has partners job is near to the
airport.
