I live in the CBD about five minutes walk from Cathederal Square. It is NOT THAT BAD. There is building work everywhere and roadworks to repair the roads but the city is perfectly liveable. I have supermarkets, malls, banks, post offices, gyms etc all within walking distance of my house. The city has beautiful little nooks and crannies, new shops and cafes sprouting up, buildings appearing and construction sites everywhere even as old buildings disappear around my house (Centennial Pool at the end of my road, buildings on Cambridge Terrace and Armagh Street etc) I get around perfectly fine and I like where I live. Sure it needs work but the work is happening. I can SEE it happening. Go Chch!

Sheesh, missed out on that in queenstown. Although there was lots of snow on top of the remarkables.

Sunday was great

Nice cold weather and rain. Just so lovely being able to walk through the fields, seeing the kids jump in as many puddles as they could, before a telling off at the car. Also, enjoyed being able to get home to warm up to a proper hot drink. I wish the coffee experts here could make their flat whites a bit warmer than the drink now before it gets too cold temperature

Can we not boast about bad weather here???
