Likewise gave up trying to get a decent Madras many years ago before coming to NZ...all westernised versions. I did have an excellent Vindaloo in Auckland though. Chop large onion and free range chicken breast, pop into veg oil when browning stir in 1/3 jar Ashoka Madras or Vindaloo Curry paste 400g chopped toms...easy as Rice bombay pots or spicy beans + naan job done.
Always regarded Butter Chicken as a meal for peeps who don't like curry

It always amazes me which words Kiwi's will use to describe someone who is black without ever using the word 'black'. I think the word 'black' to describe someone who is black is deemed as racist, it's quite bizarre. It's like the 1970's with some of the terms used, Alf Garnett would love NZ at times.

Black British is used as an official category in UK national statistics ethnicity classifications.

Funnily enough I watched Till death do us part a couple of days ago where Spike Milligan appeared as Alf's new next door neighbor all blacked up as "Paki-Paddy"

The quality of inorganic rubbish, doesn't look any better despite the annual collections. Year after year people still have giant piles of rotten mouldy beds and sofas slung out in the street.
Where the heck does it all come from and how the heck does it get so bad?

Sky sports has nothing but rugby, rugby and rugby. They'll even repeat a game played 24 years ago
Such a waste of anyones money!
