Hello There

We are coming to Auckland for a month over the period Oct/Nov 2017 and was wondering if anyone had any info/websites or local knowledge on short term house accommodation in the Auckland area. My husband has a months job trial in the city and we will be coming over to look at schools, property etc etc.

Whilst there are a number of hotels/motels/holiday parks online we would be looking at a house rental as it would give us a better base and idea of living a normal life in NZ. We are a family of 4 (children are 15 and 10). Any info or help would be very much welcomed.

bookabach or even try looking on house sitting sites, I have used kiwihousesitters for when we have gone away.

Air bnb are also worth a look. They usually have good discounts for staying for a while.

Ah, bookabach on Waiheke island and ferry across to work - now that would be lovely . However, maybe not so realistic !!

Hi there,
We live in cockle bay and one of my customers owns a seperate studio apartment, it's quite big and in a lovely area. Not sure what she charges but would be a great base for you and your family short term, a 5 minute walk into Howick village and 5 minute walk to the beach, [removed, please do not advertise other peoples emails]
She has had a few families stay there short term whilst looking for permanent rentals, she is really lovely.
