Just revisiting this thread...
Does anyone have a useful link to a guide of the different types of shipments you could make to NZ? Keep hearing of 'containers', but I have no idea how much you can actually fit in those. We are probably just looking at selected items like small appliances rather than large pieces of furniture.

A 20ft container fits roughly 1050 cubic feet of furniture, roughly the size of a single garage. If you don't need that much then the groupage service means you only pay for the space you need.
