Shipping/ removals companies
Hi all.
We are just trying to gather costs etc at the moment for a potental move to auckland in around 6 months.
Can anyone recommend a shipping/removal company you have used who were reliable and reasonably priced? We wouldn't ship the whole house, I'm guessing just selected items like small kitchen appliances, clothes etc.
Many thanks

Thank you, that's helpful. This is forcing me to think of what we actually want to ship. Tough choices!

you're welcome! it's a good idea to check out the replacement cost at destination in deciding if it's worth shipping, as well as whether some items will actually work or not depending on local electrical standards etc. Good luck!

Yes, we were thinking not to bother with things like white goods, as ours aren't particularly new and ar probably quite expensive to ship compared to buying new.
It's just little gadgets like smoothie makers and blenders etc that i'd probably take!
Also, as we are looking at rental properties out there, I think I should check if white goods etc are included.

Yes, do have a look at costs for new stuff in NZ. The cost could be higher than you expect

Thank you again.
Another question sorry, how long on average does it take for a skilled migrant visa to be processed and approved after being invited to apply from the eoi pool? I hear you also have to get a stamp in your passport too?

average time scale for London office is 3mths, once you have submitted your ITA and you have 3/4 months (can't remember which one) to get the ITA in and start paying the fees, and the 3mths average is if everything is all good. Yes you do need to get a visa stamp in the passport or you will need to show an onward flight out of the country as you would be classed as a visitor.
