Queenstown area
Can any one suggest someone to stay near Q'town, 30 - 40 minutes drive, for OH and his 25 and 22 yr old daughters. Don't particular want to remortgage the house to pay Q'town prices !!!!!'

Try Arrowtown, it has a nice campsite with self contained units (Arrowtown Holiday Park). Cromwell is an option but is more like 45 minutes away. The Top 10 there is in a great spot just down the road from the lake and just around the corner from a nice bar. My personal pick would be Arrowtown, we went for a curry and drinks after in a pub on the corner called the Fork and Tap. There's a french bakery there too with delicious pan au chocolate. Lucky we weren't there longer really, I would have continued to put on weight

Re: Queenstown area
loved Arrow Town.
There is a lot of road works going in Queenstown at the moment, took us over 30 minutes to get from the airport to the town, so just down the hill. might be worth spending a little more to be in town if that is where they want to visit.
try Booking.com or Trivago for motels.
