We had it organised for them to come out the same time as me months ago, but there was a mess up, partly due to my husband and the partly the vets fault with regards to a blood test. Luckily I reaslised their mistake and have tried getting it sortered asap. They may actually be able to come over in November but the luck we've had in making the time frames we want with this process I'm not getting my hopes up.

Can I ask how complicated/expensive it was in general to move the pets? I only intend to be moving with one cat, and have a checklist and timeline of the process but is there anything that wasn't obviously clear to you when researching that messed you up? Or something that was a bit of a surprise discovery?

I've calculated that it'll cost between £2.5k and £3k for one cat (including quarantine, import permit, vet, border clearance and travel). Does that sound about right to you?

Where from: St Helens, Merseyside

Not long to go now. Can understand you wanting to get away from Sint Elens, it's a right dump. I can say that because I was born and bred there and my parentals still live there ;)
