Greetings all,

I shipped my container last week from UK on the long haul to NZ but now I am wondering whether or not i should bring a couple of modems that I have here, good quality ADSL ones - will they work in NZ? Is the phone system largely the same?
Obviously if I manage to find a place in the Ultra fast broadband I'll need a cable router, but for ordinary ADSL would these ones work?

Are the cables even the same rj11 fitting?

If it fits in a box I guess take it, it will work or it won't. They aren't exactly expensive items.

Yes, we used our TalkTalk modem from the UK and it worked fine

Thanks very much for the replies. I have a couple of more expensive high-end modems so I'll bring them as it sounds like they might work. If not the bin can have 'em. Three more weeks in UK then off to join the OH in Auckland!
