Re: March Arrivals and Departures 2017
Hi, Just signed up to this forum.
Name: James, age 27
Originally from Wolverhampton (been living in London for past 5yrs though)
Moving: Unknown! Possibly / hopefully Wellington
Arriving 23rd March (Flying into Auckland)
Moving across as a Civil Engineer, with a 12-month contract secured, but they haven't placed me yet. - Just thought I'd join the forum, say Hi!, and figure out if anybody in my age bracket is in Auckland who can tell me where the best coffee shops are!
I've a few days spare to recover from the flight and tour the area before my work starts the week after.

My Turn to post too!
Who: Nick G.
Where from: Surrey
leaving Date: March 12th
Where to: Auckland, Papakura
Arrival Date: March 14th
My Kiwi Wife (in the uk for 13 years) went down last week to get things started while I tie up all the loose ends here, our Son (10 and a half months old) is with her. I still don't have my visa though I found out yesterday they are waiting for the NZ police clearance report to come through then all should be ok. Excitement and nerves are endless!

Good luck with your move! Visas are being issued quickly at the mo - our temporary visas were approved on Tuesday after just 10 days from form submission and they are processing our perm visas so quickly they are hanging on t passports as they think they will be done this week. That's also only 10 days since submitting. Fingers crossed for you
Cheers , my visa has taken a few months the first case officer left so that didn't help as the second one asked me for the same info the first one did a month later!

Re: March Arrivals and Departures 2017
Why not? Beautiful place, 20 mins from the beaches of tawharanui, not far from orewa/silverdale and a lovely rural place to be.
My husband will be working in CBD, it's not a terrible commute with a bus service from silverdale or Albany (although we have yet to actually do it in peak traffic) ) and our accommodation there for when we arrive is working out really well. If we like it we can stay on and they will remove all their furniture as our container arrives. If we don't want to stay there we will look for a rental elsewhere.
We've been to Puhoi and really liked it there.
