Auckland used to be a pleasure, now it's a sea of faces and traffic. Even little old Tauranga isn't as quiet as it once was and traffic is gridlocked at peak times. Crime is up everywhere - violent crime, even in Tauranga. But if you're returning from London that probably won't worry you and nz is still safer than London. I don't find the climate in nz much different from southern England. It's been very wet and colder than I remember in 13 years here. I'm English and would like to return to uk but circumstances don't allow. As in any country it depends where you locate to. I hope you will find that coming back to nz will be the right thing and it works out well for you.

Hi both,
After a period of settling in, finishing renovations, taking delivery of our shipped goods, settling in work etc I'm back on the forum.
Its all good and we are both happy.
My birthday? Golf in scorhing day in Levin, home for fresh crumbed fish and chips and bubbles at home in Wellington...and the dolphins did a wee show in Evans Bay too
Bliss
Had the 2 x triple sliding doors open this summer more than i ever expected in windy Welly.
Yes we hit a good summer
The Londoner is making good friends, I'm doing ok with new friends
Its better than we expected, both pleased we came
Cheers
