Who: Mr & Mrs Cornflakes (geologist/engineer on partner visa, health manager on 12 month work visa)
Where from: London Heathrow
leaving Date: Sunday, 8th Jan
Where to: Auckland (via Singapore)
Arrival Date: Tuesday, 10th Jan.

Most worried about bringing my travel sickness medication into New Zealand. I contacted Medsafe who tell me I need a doctor's note or prescription, the medicine is cinnarizine which is prescription only in NZ.

My partner is an engineer and we were looking at that visa too, was it easy to get? How long did the process take?

It took about 5 months to get qualifications assessed, teaching registration and visa through. Visa only took about 5 days it was the teaching registration that took longest so may be different for engineering if you even need it...

Wow that's pretty fast. How did you find job hunting whilst in the U.K.? Are the schools good over there? We will be going with my 13yr old daughter. Good luck everything btw, I can't wait to get there.
