How to breed flys..
Simply pop along to your local store and purchase a can of 'Mortein FAST KNOCKDOWN' it's in a lovely red spray can.
You'll soon have more flies than you can shake a stick at.

Assuming we are both talking about the same thing (flies), experience has taught me that this time of year requires either fly screens or extreme vigilance plus a swat and fly paper regime. Extreme vigilance = every door and window shut unless it is a breezy day in which case you can open ALL doors and windows. Fly paper ($2 from dollar stores) is good stuff inside though ugly. A swat and a daily commitment to swatting and cleaning up is also essential. Keep the kitchen spotless, clean up all fly vomit immediately, feed pets outside, check you don't have any dead things under the house and soon it'll be May and the wretched flies will be gone. Much better to have fly screen tho - you can get magnetic ones made to measure for approx $100 per window or fiddle about making them yourself (Bunnings have the stuff) for less than half that. It's the bane of Autumn away from the coast
Fly spray is horrid horrid stuff.

I was using the spray incorrectly it seems, although not stated on the can, I believe hitting the fly in quick succession with the side of the can helps. There's me using it as a spray.

Typically they have names like "$5 or less!" but are known as dollar stores. I guess if they stayed called dollar stores they would have to sell crapper and crapper stuff ...
