Help!! Character Waiver!
Hi all,
We have sent in our application and have had a letter back saying we are being referred for a character waiver!
My Hubs was a bit naughty when he was 16 and got fired from a job and stormed off! However, he was still wearing his protective jacket and hat. He also had his employer's tool belt on. The Employer called the police and they arrested him for 'Theft from an Employee'. When he went to court he was fined £30.
NZIS have said this is 'Dishonesty' and have referred it.
Now we think we have to write another letter explaining this more fully but are unsure what else to say as we had already written a covering letter which also explained that he had been an upright member of society for the last 24 years. But they still referred it!
Any help would be most gratefully received as we fear our dreams are about to go up in smoke.
Thanks.

I just wanted to say "good luck". If all else fails, you could always go to Australia, they traditionally welcome those with a record
