EOI question
Can anyone please explain to me why it states on the NZ gov website that applications are now closed for EOI for skilled migrant workers until further notice? Do they do this every time they do a draw or is part of the new terms? How often do they do draws etc? More info please? Thanks x

They are changing the skilled migrant rules (New points, and remuneration bands etc) I'm guessing it's to implement these new guidelines

Re: EOI question
If you look in the Immigration section above, you can see that I have put the latest changes to Immigration policy in the sticky threads.
So please check there that you still qualify before submitting application and money

Re: EOI question
Hi yes I'm sure I still hit the 160 points but I'm confused as to why they've closed the EOI application as I presumed it would always be open x

Re: EOI question
It actually states they are "not selecting from the pool" rather than EOI's aren't being accepted (into the pool), it may mean you can submit one but selections are suspended while they update systems, train staff etc on the incoming new rules.

Re: EOI question
will reopen on 28th August with the new policies implemented, so I would double check your application against the new criteria
