Hopefully someone on here knows people at the Otago Polytechnic. So we can check whether this is genuine or not. The current consensus is it is. However there is some doubt.

CPFC2010 is actually a voice for the board of directors so they believe it.... Although there are people in NZ that have doubts.... hopefully this can be cleared up pronto by someone close by on here ???

The Givealittle Charity is very well known, well used and supported in NZ.

I think anyone can lodge an appeal but would soon be found out if they were making this up:

If you read the early messages on the Givealittle site - the major donors are his work colleagues, former students, friends and neighbours and people that clearly know him and his family.

My main concern was the fact that the initial post came from a first time visitor. A red flag for sceptics that one.

Yes, I see what you mean an anonymous newbie on the Palace supporters site. I think all links this end seem to tie up - people here all know each other and are quite unforgiving of someone taking advantage or bludging.

If the lady were trying to scam people it would be all over the news by now. Givealittle is run by Spark (the local equivalent of telecom) they have verified her details, bank account etc and also links to her own FB page - so no doubts in my mind at all.

They are, one of the board members has already said they will provide tickets and hospitality. Really good gesture of you and the board though.


This will definitely hit the local papers and other media over there.
