Angry Bluddy Wind !

I do not know what is going on with this weather at all. It has definately changed over the past 12 years or so.

The wind here is dreadful. I've never known so much strong wind .

Don't get the wind in the Waikato but it has certainly got hotter and more humid over the 13 yrs I've been here.

Oct to November we get lots of very irritating wind in the Manawatu. It really is very, very irksome, especially when on either my motor bike or my mountain bike.

Other than that I really have no complaints about the meterological vagueries of Aotearoa. Which is nice.

Driving is still very shite though.

Good for getting washing done

But dangerous as the wet comes so quickly

Its always been gusty as the change in seasons come through

And guys will love the gusty summer winds

It's a seven year cycle I've decided, seems to happen every seven years here.

Totally agree. The rest of our weather doesn't seem that different but the wind has gone berserk in the last ten years.

sitting in the spa I got rather concerned that we had a tornado heading our way as the wind suddenly got not only strong but I can only describe as strange. MrF said it was probably always like that in that place in the garden but we had not been in that area before when windy so probably wasn't unusual.
As you maybe aware since coming to NZ I really was not aware that I am a touch wind phobic

I love the wind, I like strange wind even better! It's exciting! Today was a strange windy weather event in Eyrewell Canterbury, sunny and balmy in the morning and then War of the Worlds winds swept in from a totally unusual direction and all the pine trees were groaning and not happy as they were being stressed.
I went out and recorded it all, it's all calm now but a bit boring and overcast.

Auckland took quite a bashing too and still very gusty here today there's rubbish and bits of trees all over the show. Many trees and power lines were downed overnight, particularly around South Auckland. Roll on Summer!!

Yeah, as someone whom likes to get out kayaking I hate the wind, though dry, it's seems to have been constantly windier than usual this summer here in Auckland and the Coromandel, after wet n windy spring (which seems to the norm).
