Approved in Principle!!!
OMG - just received an email from CO saying we have been 'Approved in Principle'. All we need to do is submit one piece of information, which we already have to hand, then the visas will be issued. The CO said the visas will take approx 2 weeks to be issued (unless we wish to travel urgently).
I can't believe that we have now achieved this.
Our journey started in October 2007 with a random visit to the London Expo. Mr Moomoo was lucky enough to be offered employment. We submitted our EOI in December 2007 and were picked from the pool in January 2008. We then had to endure a six month delay due to going through the court to try to achieve 'Removal from the Jurisdiction' for my stepson. Thankfully my ex gave his consent for our two children to emigrate as he could see the opportunity/experience it would bring them. We eventually received our ITA in May 2008 and submitted the ITA last week - received on 30 July 2008. So it has taken just over a week to gain Approval in Principle.
I am so happy at the moment. We are letting our house from the end of August and I was really hoping we would know something before we have to move out. We have already booked our packers for three days prior to the lettees moving in, so everything, it seems, has fallen into place.
We are now aiming to move to NZ (east Auckland) towards the beginning of October 2008.
Thanks to all for your assistance with our questions so far, I am sure we will have more to ask!
Good luck to everyone who is currently going through the process/waiting.

Congratulations - Whereabouts in East Auckland are you heading? We're flying out on 28 August heading to North Shore.

Re: Approved in Principle!!!
We are looking at several areas - Whitford, Howick, Cockle Bay, Mellons Bay, Dannemora, Botany Downs, Half Moon Bay, Beachlands, Eastern Beach - we would like to look at the secondary schools first and make a decision on which school, that will then determine which area we will need to settle in.
Good luck with your move, not long for you!
Best wishes
Moomoo
