My husband has got a job with an accredited employer nr methven.
he goes out august but i dont follow until towards end of the year with my 2 v young children.

wondering if anyone is local to the area?

I am living in Ashburton - yell out happy to tell you everything you need to know x

We have been here since November renting in one of the better parts of town.

We have had our ups and downs and you will see if you read my posts that we are not 100% happy here but I will make sure i tell you all the good bits too.

Rental properties are quite hard to comeby in Ashburton so it is always good to start researching. We used property brokers a lady called Esther she is great.

Try and rent on the Westside of town if possible - it is more pricey but nicer, near the big domain, people keep their gardens tidy etc. The East Side is fine i just find it a biy grey and drab and there are some dodgy streets. - let me know and I can help suggest some places if you like.

Are you still planning on coming later in the year? Yell out if your hubby fancies a beer I am sure my husband would love to have a pint or two.

Ashburton can be a lovely place to live you have access to the mountains, just 45 mins to the beach in Timaru and in a couple of hours you can be out near twizel and heading to the lakes.

Thanks hun, its methven his employer is based, we found a 4 bed brick double glazed house with two logburners for 300pw which is hard to find :-) this is just outside methven.

How long have u been there for? Are u on a work visa or do u have residency? Feel free to add me to fb if u like x
