Only flew them once and certainly had no complains. Polite staff, reasonable seats, clean, no in seat entertainment tho.

I've flown Air NZ many times, (LHR - AKL 4 times in past yr) & they are v good. Not in the same league as Singapore or Cathay Pacific, but when you consider that the national airline of a country of just 4 million people wins all sorts of awards for its customer service, that's pretty good going.

One thing I would suggest - make sure you join the Air NZ airpoints scheme. A 1 way business class flight earns you something like 24,000 points. This is enough for a FREE domestic return flight (20,000 pts), or you could save them - a return flight from NZ to Australia (SYD/MEL/BNE) requires 30,000 pts. Doesn't take long to accrue them, and if someone else is paying for your flight, all the better!

From memory, if you fly business class with Air NZ, membership of their airpoints scheme is free, otherwise it costs $50 (about 17quid) per person.

Russ.
