The tribunal decisions has a search option. Unfortunately it doesn't recognise that case number which seems to also be missing a suffix.

Perhaps think to appraise our wee community of the details. The forum is a pooling of personal experiences after all & is what helps us all.

It depends how urgent the surgery is. If, say, by not having an operation you will die within a short period of time, you will be bumped up the public waiting list and they will give you the operation immediately and the it will be free. If your operation is not urgent, you will be put on a waiting list which can be lengthy. If you have medical insurance, or are willing to pay, you can have the operation done privately near-enough to immediately or after a short wait.

I'm probably biased because I was born here in Hamilton. But yes, it is a nice place to live. I like it anyway. It is a smaller place, about 150,000 people, but about 250,000 in a 20 km radius.

One of the advantages is that it's so central. Auckland is an hour or so away. They are currently in the process of completing the remaining sections of 4 laning the highway Hamilton-Auckland, so its getting to be a pretty easy trip. You have Tauranga on the east, about an hour and half away, with possibly the best beach in NZ (Mt Maunganui). Raglan on the west, a cosy, smallish seaside resort about half hour away. The Mountains to the South for skiing about 2 and half hours away. Taupo, a lakeside holiday resort about 2 hours away, also to the South.

I wouldn't say jobs are scarcer, the unemployment rate is probably similar to Auckland, but they definitely would be scarcer in specialist areas like computer graphics design etc. The weather has greater extremes than Auckland. Auckland temperatures are more constant, hardly ever getting to freezing point, but also rarely above 25 degrees, because of sea breezes etc. Hamilton probably has about 10 or so frosts per year, but also in summer it is quite often the hottest place in NZ because of it being in a sort of inland sheltered valley.

Hamilton, along with Palmerston North, is sometimes the butt of many a joke by other NZers. They say it's like boredom city. But I don't think so
