Question on getting security clearance

Looking for information on getting security clearance for airport work. I know this can be done directly but are there agencies that can arrange a certificate on your behalf. I need clearance to work in the airfreight industry.
Many thanks.

Re: Question on getting security clearance

I have kniwledge of this in the uk and us, I believe its not something you can apply for yourself, you have to supply information, your potential employer has to ask for it, but you might have to pay for it. Of course the netherlands might be different.

Re: Question on getting security clearance

Yes, the request has to come from your employer. It can't be done by an individual. But, it depends where/what exactly you're doing or planning to do. The Airfreight industry - eg working at one of the hundreds of warehouses around Schiphol Rijk - the employer or employment agency will give you the forms to either apply online or at the gemeente (town hall). But if you're talking about working airside at the airport, ie going anywhere near the planes, you're going to need 8 years residence (they increased it from 5 years) before you'd be screened for that level of clearance.
