Buying chalet / stacaravan to reside in
Hi all
I'm trying to move to the netherlands asap! I'm looking at buying a stacaravan / chalet type accommodation, however ultimatly I am wanting to register as a resident ( so I can work etc). After doing some research I'm aware that not all parks offer 'stay all year round' and most do not offer them as residential properties either!! Does anyone know of any parks that do offer residential 'plots' - any help would be greatly received, thanks in advance

I don't know of any parks. I think the gemeentes have some plots available in residential areas for the travelling community looking for a semi-permanent spot of land; perhaps check with the town hall in areas you'd consider. An alternative might be a houseboat? They are all over the Netherlands, not just in Amsterdam centre.

We had a stacaravan in Glanerbrug for years; I don't think I would want to live in one all year round though, unless you get a winterised model, they're bloody cold in the winter and as some have mentioned above, many Gemeente won't allow it (though many on our site did so).
