Where to call to speak to a live person about status of London police certificate?
I was wondering if anyone knew a number that I could call to check on the status of my fiance's London police certificate. I know that there's a general number that you can call, but from what I understand, it's just a recording. I thought I remember someone on here saying that they spoke with a live person once to check, and a few days later they received their police certificate. Anyone know of this number????
Thanks!
Thanks!

He should probably contact the police station that he applied through. They should know how to direct them. GOOD LUCK

Yep.. his interview is scheduled for this Friday. Fingers crossed he gets it.
Our petitions were approved on the same day and our notices were cabled on the same day. He received his interview letter on January 3 which was 2 weeks ahead of his interview date. So I'm assuming that your fiance will get his letter two weeks before his interview as well. Well, I hope so.
By the way, has his provisional file been opened and did he turn in his checklist?
Keep us posted

Hi Kat-
Yeah, we turned everything in, he's just waiting on his police certificate and interview date.
Good luck for you both on the interview. Exciting! I'm sure he'll do fine as I hear that it's nothing to worry about.
How soon after he passes the interview will he come out to California?

Re: Where to call to speak to a live person about status of London police certificate?
My sons police cert didnt arrive with mine so i called the regional police
centre number (Cumbria in my case).
Just a note for those who are starting the process, processing times are
very long right now but the police certificate (in UK) is valid for a year,
i applied for mine just after we sent our K-1 petition off. Life is so much
easier when you arent running around at the last moment waiting for
certificates etc.

Argh!!! Just a voicemail. Well, I'll tell my fiance to call them and leave a message and maybe they will call back.

Hi,
To get them moving the best thing to do is go back to the police station where you applied. They have a duty to get it to you within 40 days - ask to speak to the officer in charge and tell them it's afecting how soon you can immigrate, get work etc. Lay it on thick. This has worked for some people.
Bst of luck. Let us know if you get any joy.

Yes, definitely get in touch with the local police force, and even get them to put you on hold whilst they call they NIS people. Hoping you get this sorted out soon.
