Hi everyone

We have lived here in Canada for the last 8years but are planning to move back to the UK within the next couple of years.

Has anyone done this? And if so how hard was it?

I think how hard it is largely depends on what responsibilities you have and what may be tying you down.

Young children, teenagers etc.
Pets (a horse? Or just a budgerigar??)
A job that pays well and you love, and you're not sure you'll get one that's as good a fit in the UK
You currently rent, or you own a house

(Etc)

There are many of us that have moved back. We moved from Oz not Canada, but the country makes little difference.

To be honest, we found it far easier than we expected.

The OP should consider applying for Canadian citizenship before returning to the UK.
