Unlocking canadian phone so I can use a UK SIM card
Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good unlocking cell phone site/place. I have a Alcatel Pixi phone that I got in Toronto and I want to unlock it when visiting the UK so that I can use another SIM card. The phone provider I'm currently with is willing to do it for $50 so I'm just shopping around to see if I can do it for cheaper with a recommended service provider.

We paid Telus the $50 only to find when we got here it did not work and went into a small phone shop where the owner unlocked it for £30. We were moving here permanently. When on holiday before a friend gave us an old phone which we put in a sim card and used that on our travels in UK and South Africa. We have since stopped using our Canadian phone for two cheap UK ones, think they cost £20 each on Amazon. Then again our cell phone is just for emergencies and texting OH to fetch me to avoid paying for parking.
