Did you know that Trader Joe's is actually owned by the German discount chain, 'Aldi'? (They have Aldi shops in the UK, most of mainland Europe AFAIK and also some Aldi shops in the US):

No idea whether this includes insides and out, +/- the screens, as I stopped reading at the $25 per window bit.

No one here gets their windows cleaned.

They do, however, pay for 'yard service'. (We don't. Probably bringing the neighbourhood down. Who cares...)
My sister has just had the windows cleaned inside and out for £50 and she thought that was outrageous. It's a large 4 bed house...with the old tiny individual leaded pane windows. The house is old and before moving in it's been completely gutted inside...re-pointed and painted outside...so the windows were in a bit of a mess with concrete, plaster, paint etc.

The last quote we had for window cleaning in the US was around 12 years ago...approx. $1,500.

I think we are the only people in our town who do their own gardening. We bought a sit down mower 13 years ago when we bought the house. It's paid for itself time and time again.

Don't start me off on property taxes.

It's even worse than that, it's essentially one person who owns it, that chap has majority stake at least.

Dunno I've never been in one but I hear their prices are great. Always reading how fantastic their face cream is...compares to similar creams costing over £100.

I went to Aldi in UK and Ireland, I liked it. I also like TJ's

Aldi was brilliant when I was a poor student in Germany, and TJ's is a life-saver here.

Nothing...except they don't accept debit cards.

It's just weird that it is pretty much a one man shop for ownership though.

They accept debit cards in the UK but not credit cards but it wasn't always the case.

Aldi sell jaffa cakes that taste just like the real thing...the raspberry ones are yucky but the orange ones are delish! I couldn't exist without TJs! I feel a trip coming on today..

Funny old world. Aldi in Oz accept credit cards but cop you 1% but also accept debit cards at no charge.

Their own brand jaffa cakes are V.G.
