We've applied for priority service settlement visa for my American wife and were wondering if any of you could share your own experiences of your application.

Documents delivered to Sheffield: 10 August 2016
E-mail received from the ECO confirming receipt of documents: Sent to lawyer
Office location processing the visa: Sheffield
Projected timeline given: Lawyer stated 14 days
Decision made e-mail: Waiting - 25 working days now

Didn't you have a refusal for a spouse visa last year?

If so, then you can expect this current application to come under additional scrutiny - so possible longer time than usual - the priority service however will put you ahead of those without priority service.

Sheesh...... so why don't you ask your optimistic lawyer (who told you 14 days and you have now been waiting 25). He'll probably tell you "next couple of days"

I have done but I am confused since you clearly aren't interested in other people's experiences. If you had been you would have taken onboard SanDiegogirl's correct observation that a prior refusal will lead to greater scrutiny for any subsequent applications and therefore extend your processing time, priority service or not.

Mrs P's visa application was submitted directly to the British consulate in DC. Her visa was issued the next day. We didn't involve a lawyer, considering one to be a waste of time and money.

From reading another forum I believe the OP is asking for actual timelines from people who have submitted PRIORITY applications from the US for settlement visas.

He has a chart showing other folks timelines and wait periods as per the info in his post above.
