Hi Everyone -

Al and I are getting paperwork together and we realized that he does not have a copy
of his full version of the birth certificate. I went to this website
http://www.statistics.gov.uk/nsbase/...ificate_obtain. asp

and it does not say how I can email them to get this ball rolling. Has anyone else
had this experience and how did you get the copy and how much did it cost?

Thanks !

I had the same problem when it came to get mine. If you go here:
http://www.statistics.gov.uk/nsbase/...rtificates.asp and download the
form, and post it to the address in Southport. Or you can phone 0870 243 77 88, and I
belive, take it form there.

If I remember right, it costs about £11 for the long form birth cert...

You can also get a copy from Sommerset House in London. It's the easiest and fastest place i know of.

Somerset house is not the fastest place anymore. Somerset house is no longer the
registry to get all this stuff. We used the Southport office as suggested in the last
post and downloaded the form which we have now filled out and mailed.

Hi, you can also get a copy of the birth cert from the registry office he was
registered at. I went there and it was issued over the counter. HIH John

I got mine from the Family Records Centre http://www.familyrecords.gov.uk/frc.htm

Luckily I lived close to London and it was easy.
