Default Try again Canada to UK!

Having completely made a prat of myself on the previous thread, I was tempted to sign in under a new name But I had done worse in my life

So, deep breath, moving to UK from Canada, other than Canadian branded things that I would find difficult to get in the UK, anything else I should stock up on because for the price/quality ratio it is a way better deal in Canada?

Many thanks for your patience!

If you think a simple typing error counts as making a prat of yourself you haven't read very much of BE! Good luck this time

(Pretty sure the new name thing isn't allowed anyway...)

If you are in the market for an iPad, then you might get a better deal in Canada. Ab prices looker better than in the UK.

Thanks If1. Bought a new ipad a year ago. Think we are reasonably well off for tech. That certainly strikes me as being cheaper here - even with Ontario tax

Some people buy Kitchen Aid mixers. They are cheaper in Canada and apparently they will work with a power adaptor. Personally I prefer a Magimix.

seriously, I would take the minimal baggage, only personal effects (no furniture) sentimental stuff, clothes - then wait see what you are missing. Order it & have it shipped in.

Those black rubber overshoes for the rained out wet feet - stock up on those & a good quality lined weatherproof/rain proof windbreaker

But the power adaptor is bulky and will spoil the look of a kitchen aid and let's face it that's part of why you buy it. Also using a power adaptor can potentially limit the life of the motor too...

Eat malt loaf when you get there

I think they said freezer bags were on the list, but I feel silly telling my Hunny that I want to use our precious shipping space for ziplock baggies.

Peanut butter, KD, and Timmies. Really all a girl needs. (at least this girl)

You can buy those for pennies in England.
