It's hard to find a piping hot anything in the US in my experience. Mrs P invariably serves food that is warm, never truly "hot", and seems to think I am odd for wanting hot food to actually be hot.

What helped me decide to move back to Scotland with my American wife after 38 years?

- homesickness after watching "still game"
- a noticeable chill in the air for us immigrants after last years election
- the endless paperwork after every medical event (deductibles, out of network etc)
- A new America that seems to be shutting itself off from the world
- and ... my wife come up with the idea!

I realise Scotland has also changed in the years I have been here but We have made regular trips home and am comfortable we are making the right decision plus my wife gets to be the immigrant for a change!

Not sure why it makes me homesick as it shows life in a bad part of Glasgow

Its a show about grumpy scheming pensioners mostly played by younger actors.

I almost turned it off after a few minutes but by the end of the first show I was hooked.

Probably the most popular show in Scottish history but doesn't seem to do anything for anyone else for some reason, possibly due to the thick accents (subtitles are available!)

Season 8 is about to start and should show up on You Tube fairly quickly (and get taken down again by You Tube)
