Tax situation with an early return to the UK
So I moved out to the UAE from the UK 6 months ago for an indefinite amount of time, but was planning for around 18 months. I have been studying and travelling around the world for much of the last 4 years so I thought I would adapt better than I have, but frankly its turning to be a bit of a struggle and the lifestyle here isn't a great fit for me.
The thought of the summer here is quite frankly depressing and I'm starting to ponder a return to the UK in a couple of months as I will have various job options which makes the move back fairly easy.
However Im wondering where I stand tax wise? If I return home after the tax year finishes will I be exempt from paying tax on my UAE earnings up to now? If I have to pay tax will it be a lump sum?
Thanks in advance for any help!

The taxman will get you - but not immediately. If you come back to the UK and start working here then PAYE will make inquiries about where you have been and what income you have had.
