Amazon do a ton of 'swiffer' stuff - are these refills what you need?

Amazon Amazon

I've bought refills for my long handled duster from Amazon as I have not seen them in the shops.

For a floor mop, I have switched to a vileda mop with a washable microfibre cloth -

Vileda 1-2 Spray Microfibre Flat Spray Mop: Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home Vileda 1-2 Spray Microfibre Flat Spray Mop: Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home

These are available in shops.

Yes those are them from Amazon but whew, they are expensive! Might just throw in a few boxes from Costco and then buy something similar in UK!

I used to use the large baby wipes on my swiffer wet mop, I figured they had less chemicals in them and if they cleaned a child's ar$e they should be safe on my floors if the kids were crawling around! Plus they were cheaper than the swiffer refills and did a great job on the bathroom tile floor.

Also, if anyone has a dry swiffer broom, instead of the pads they sell for a fortune, use dryer sheets.

On a different yet related note, if you have any Corning casserole ware that you like hang onto them - they're more expensive here, same for Corelle dinnerware if you use it.

I was intrigued by your post as I have a Swiffer too that I would take back with me. I did a quick search on line and in the UK you can get a mops by Flash which look exactly the same as the Swiffer line. You can buy Flash wet wipes for their mops in the grocery stores, from what I can see. I figure these will fit the Swiffer.

I've also ordered Swiffer mop and duster from Amazon. Thanks for the tip about the wipes and dryer cloths. In the US, I just bought generic refills.

On a different note, are all the brands of aluminium thin as tissue? Same goes for the cling wrap! We've got Sainsbury's, Tesco, Lidl, and Waitrose where I live if someone can tell me a good brand of foil and cling wrap.

Lidl sell a good quality foil that is thick enough for most uses, their cling wrap is good as well.

No problem, it's the 'Aromata' brand in a box, there is also a cheaper thinner version that is nowhere near as good.
