Default Quick Question on Prorating US and UK tax

Hello all,

I am probably moving back to the UK mid 2018. Does anyone know if US tax and allowances are calculated based upon residence for part of a year or the whole year? So if I land in the UK on July 1 do I get half the personal allowance?

Same for the UK? I know the UK tax year is different so would I get 75% or the full UK allowance?

full year; state tax may or may not be based on part-year residence.
