Default 'Personal Effects' Insurance

Hello,
Not sure this exactly the right place to ask this, but feels the best match.

I'm actually in the process of moving from UK to AUS.

Our personal shipping has all been packed up, and is sat on a container somewhere, and have now moved into some temporary 'serviced' accommodation before we travel out ourselves - might be 1 or 2 months.

My question is, what type of insurance would be appropriate for covering the personal effects not already shipped out? We have some possessions in the temp home, but really it's stuff like out laptops / cameras / phones / jewellery etc that needs covering.

Would regular contents insurance be appropriate, or perhaps travel insurance? Or is there some specialist cover we can get?
