When I type ( mostly in accommodation websites ) middlesex in their option, there is not such city available, while northampton comes up with the name of northamptonshire. I understand that Northampton is a part of Northamptonshire.

How is the transport services in both cities?

They're 2 completely different areas. Northamptonshire apart from the towns is quite rural, Middlesex would have many more opportunities for waiter or receptionist, but accommodation is expensive.
